Jenson Button is new F1 champ
Jenson Button is the Formula One world champion after finishing fifth in the Brazilian Grand Prix on Sunday.
The British race ace succeeds Lewis Hamilton as world champion, but it took a brilliant drive to seal the title.
Button started the race in 14th place after a poor qualifying session, but some brave overtaking moves pushed him up the field into the points.
And when his biggest rivals couldn't score the points they needed, Button crossed the line as world champion.
Button was in a pretty good mood after the race, saying: "It's great to be sat here as world champion and I personally think I thoroughly deserve it.

"I've been the best over 16 races, and that's what world titles are all about.
"I am it. I am a world champion, and I'm going to keep saying it, especially after a race that, for me, was the best I've driven in my life."
That's not the end of the season though, as all the drivers and teams will race one last time in 2009 in Abu Dhabi at the end of October.
