My town's been hit by swine flu

Linlithgow Academy in Linlithgow, Scotland

Press Packer Cailin lives in a town in Scotland that's been on the TV because lots of kids have had swine flu symptoms.

Here's her story.

"I live in a small town in Scotland called Linlithgow.

I go to Linlithgow Primary, and soon I will be going to the senior school, Linlithgow Academy.

The school has been on the news for the reports of swine flu.

About 300 pupils have been off but only some have been confirmed as actually having swine flu.

In my school there are 42 pupils off which is quite a lot, but all the precautions have been taken.

There are sneeze bins to put our tissues in and hand wash to make sure we all wash our hands after we sneeze.

In our school there have been a lot of people who have been sick or having to be sent home from school.

I'm not that worried because of the precautions that have been taken.

Media spotlight

But I do find it quite worrying that the high school I walk past on the way to school has all this media attention about swine flu.

I think and hope it will soon pass over and that it will end up being forgotten."
