Kenny Miller of Rangers celebrates his second goal with Kris Boyd, Steven Naismith and Nacho Novo during the Scottish Premier League match between Rangers and Celtic at Ibrox

Rangers are just one point behind SPL leaders Celtic after beating them 2-1 in the first Old Firm derby of the season.

It took just over 15 minutes for Rangers to take the lead. Former Celtic leader Kenny Miller scored both goals.

Celtic managed to get one in the bag after Aiden McGeady scored after a penalty.

Celtic now has 16 points from seven games and Rangers 15 with Hibernian third on 13.

Rangers striker Kenny Miller says it was an important win given their run of three games without a goal .
