Dinosaurs had 'earliest feathers'

Dinosaur experts say they're excited by the discovery of fossils of a bird-like creature showing signs of feathers.

The creatures were found in North Eastern China and are all more than 150 million years old. It's thought they're the oldest fossil feathers ever found.

Scientists think it proves that birds originally came from dinosaurs.

Experts reckon the shape of the dinosaur's four wings may have been an important stage in the move from dinosaurs to birds.

The new fossils, which come from two separate locations, are around 10 million years older than a bird called the Archaeopteryx which was discovered in Germany in the 19th Century.
