A nine-month-old former stray puppy called Barney has been unveiled as Blue Peter's newest recruit.
He'll have a helping hand to know how to behave in the studio as he's also the pet of presenter Helen Skelton.
The pair were matched up by the Dogs Trust Charity who helped Helen find a pooch with the perfect temperament for a shared life in the limelight.
"He is so entertaining, he just trots around and makes friends with people," said former Newsround presenter Helen.
"He is brilliant with children and other dogs so I am really lucky."
Barney - who's a red setter-dachshund cross - is following in the paw prints of former BP dogs Petra, Shep and Goldie.
A spokeswoman for the Dogs Trust said staff knew straight away that Barney was "destined to be a star".
"We are thrilled that Blue Peter has chosen a rescue dog as their latest canine team member," she said.
"We wish Barney and Helen all the very best and we all look forward to keeping up with their exciting adventures each week on the show."
