Kanye West has said sorry for interrupting Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards in New York.
The rap star stormed the stage and told the audience that Beyonce should have won the best female video prize.
There were lots of tributes to Michael Jackson. His sister Janet recreated the dance moves from their duet Scream.
Madonna gave a speech saying: "it seems like a whole new generation of kids has discovered his genius".
In the end Taylor did manage to finish her acceptance speech - with some help from Beyonce!
Toward the end of the evening, Beyonce won the video of the year award for Single Ladies. She invited Taylor onto stage again to properly "have her moment."
"They told me to stand by the side of the stage," Swift said.
"I didn't really know what was going to go down, but I thought it was so wonderful and gracious of her to do what she's always done.
"I thought that I couldn't love Beyonce more and this happened."
After the incident, Kanye West was booed by the crowd and was then asked to leave the show.
West later apologized on his blog to Swift, her fans and her mother.
The big winners of the night were Beyonce, Lady Gaga and Green Day, who all picked up three awards each.
