Rubbish boat cruises coast

A local council in France has gone to extreme measures to make sure its beaches are rubbish free.

The mission is to get converted fishing boats to scoop the rubbish out of the sea before it even washes ashore.

The clean up operation is costing nearly £2m a year but the people in charge reckon it is worth it to keep beaches clear and tourists and swimmers happy with the quality of the water.
