Brothers admit attacking two boys

Police guard crime scene

Two young brothers have admitted attacking two boys and causing them serious injuries in South Yorkshire.

The brothers, who were aged 10 and 11 at the time, admitted the charge in court in Sheffield on Thursday.

Their victims, aged nine and 11, both needed hospital treatment after they were found with serious injuries in Edlington, near Doncaster, in April.

The brothers were originally charged with trying to kill the boys, which they both denied.

They also pleaded guilty to robbing one of the boys of a mobile phone and the other of cash.

As the brothers are under the age of 18, they cannot be named and neither can their victims.

It's important to remember that cases like this are very rare.
