Andy Murray has got off to a great start at the US Open in New York by winning his first round match.
He beat Latvia's Ernest Gulbis in straight sets, 7-5 6-3 7-5, under the lights at the Arthur Ashe Stadium.
Despite a bad fall in the final set, which left Murray with a number of bruises, it was a solid win for the Brit.
Andy Murray now faces Chile's Paul Capdeville, who he used to train with in Spain, in the next round.
Afterwards, Andy said he was happy with his performance.
"My concentration could have been a bit better but for a first match I thought it was very good," he said.
