Top sheep sells for record price

Deveronvale Perfection

A Scottish ram has become one of the most expensive sheep in the world after he was sold for a whopping £231,000.

Deveronvale Perfection is only eight months old, but the farmer who bought him hopes to make lots of money selling his lambs one day.

Jimmy Douglas reckons the sheep lives up to his name because he's perfect for breeding strong lambs.

The UK's previous most expensive sheep, Tophill Joe, was bought for £128,000 six years ago.

He died recently but during his life he fathered lambs worth a total of £1m.
