Celtic suffer Euro loss at home

Celtic players react to a missed chance

Celtic have a big battle on their hands to stay in the Champions League after a 1-0 loss at home to Dinamo Moscow.

Celtic now need to win the return leg in Moscow on 5 August, and another two-legged play-off too, to make it into the group stage of the competition.

Dinamo started the match more quickly and scored their goal after just seven minutes, through Alexander Kokorin.

Celtic did create chances, but their fans will be frustrated by the way the team wasted them.

Marc-Antoine Fortune and Scott McDonald both missed good first-half chances, and McDonald had another chance cleared off the line.

Celtic's best chance came late on when substitute Georgios Samaras couldn't head in a really good chance from close range.
