Seals invade Californian coast

Seals in San Diego

The city of San Diego in America is having to deal with a massive invasion of seals on one of its beaches.

The mammals have taken up home on the beach front and sunbathers are having to share the sand with the creatures.

City officials aren't very pleased - they reckon the seals are a nuisance for beach goers.

So they're planning to pay someone to to walk along the beach playing out the sound of dogs barking to drive the mammals back into the sea.

Under specials laws they can't use force because the seals are protected.
