The style
VV Brown has been tipped for great things in 2009 and after listening to her debut album, it's not surprising.
In the past she's been a backing singer for the likes of Madonna, the Pussycat Dolls and Westlife, but whatever type of music you like, you're bound to find something on Travelling Like The Light that you love.
Pop, doo-wop, rock and roll or even bluesy ballads, they're all here.
The hits
Shark In The Water was the first single and so is the track you're most likely to recognise, but there's loads more potential hits.
Crying Blood and L.O.V.E have memorable melodies that'll hook in your head from the first time you hear them.
And Back In Time is a sweeping anthem of a track that leaves a definite impression.
The misses
Quick Fix isn't great and sounds too much like white noise in places.
And although Crazy Amazing is pretty catchy, it's also quite annoying as it sounds as if it's based on a famous piano tune and just doesn't sound right.
Will you still be humming it next week?
Without a doubt. Most of the songs are the type of tracks that get in your head and stay there. In a good way!
Will it make the charts?
It's her first album, and she's not as well known as singers like Beyonce or Lady Gaga, so success isn't guaranteed. But it is deserved.
