Daley misses out on second gold

Tom Daley and Max Brick

Tom Daley couldn't pick up his second world title in a week after finishing in ninth place in the men's final of the synchronised diving in Rome, Italy.

In synchronised events two people dive at the same time, and they have to pull off their twists and turns together.

Daley was diving with Max Brick, and they've only been competing and working together since April.

The pair weren't expected to challenge for a medal at this event, but probably would have hoped to score more points.

Even so, both Tom and Max will be looking forward to future competitions.

Their best dives were very good indeed, and if they can be more consistent they may challenge for medals in other events.
