Cristiano Ronaldo played his first match for Spanish side Real Madrid in a friendly against Shamrock Rovers. The game was at the tiny Tallaght stadium near Dublin.

In a bit of a surprise, it turned out to be a really close game. Rovers didn't allow Ronaldo many chances to score.

Real just sneaked a winner late in the match when another big-money signing Karim Benzema netted a goal to make the final score 1-0.
