Man charged £14 QUADRILLION for cigarettes

Josh Muszynski

We all know smoking is bad for you and cigarettes can be pretty expensive, but imagine the shock one man got when he was charged £14 QUADRILLION for a pack.

Josh Muszynski was charged a staggering $23,148,855,308,184,500 after paying for cigarettes with a bank card at his local petrol station in America.

That's so much money it could pay off America's national debt several times!

Mr Muszynski didn't realise until he checked his bank statement online. The bank later corrected the mistake.

"I thought somebody had bought Europe with my credit card," said Mr Muszynski. "It was very concerning.

"It is a lot of money in the negative. Something I could never, ever, afford to pay back."

No-one has explained to him how such a massive mistake was made, but Mr Muszynski has now said he's going to give up smoking.
