What would you change your school into?

Children playing on their school beach

A school in County Durham has livened up lessons with a beach!

Kids at the school don't need to head to the seaside to enjoy playing in the sand, as two tonnes of it have been dropped off to make a beach.

So what would you like to change about your school?

Would you turn a playing field into an allotment, or swap your classroom for a music festival?

Whatever your ideas, we want to know about them!

Your comments

"A fun fair."

Katie, 11, Warwickshire, England

"I would change the grass area into a larger playground with a climbing frame, slide and swings, the lot!!! I would also change the football pitch into a pool for hot summer afternoons and to kick back and RELAX!!"

Sophie, 11, Belfast, Northern Ireland

"I would change my field around a bit by adding animals and a barn so we could have a bit of a farm. Only we wouldn't kill the animals!"

"I'd love to turn the classroom into a music festival because I like all the bright bold metallic colours that stand out in costumes and at the moment the classroom looks boring. It would be cool to turn the field into the beach with loads of sand and water. Mind you it might be too much hassle plus it already looks like a swamp because we have no field drains so when it rains the field floods! Oh well at least it's a school that is suitable to go to."

Sian, 10, Durham, England

"I would love my school to have a swimming pool. My mum said that she had one in her old primary school, so that would be great. Then we could also have swimming lessons!"
