Thousands of Michael Jackson fans joined his family and friends for a memorial service at the Staples Center in Los Angeles to celebrate his life and music.
The King of Pop's gold-plated coffin was carried into the concert hall by his brothers and placed in front of the stage as the service began.
More than a billion people around the world are thought to have watched on TV as performers, including Jennifer Hudson, sang or spoke about their memories of Michael.
Jermaine Jackson sung a version of Smile, which was said to be his brother's favourite song.
And all of his brothers wore a single white jewelled glove in honour of Michael's distinctive style during his pop career.
R'n'B singer Usher is one of countless artists who have been influenced by Michael Jackson's music over the years.
After singing Who's Lovin You?, Britain's Got Talent finalist Shaheen Jafargholi said: "I feel so happy I did it and I got to say goodbye to Michael Jackson in a way nobody else could."
At the end of the service, Michael's family joined his friends on stage to sing a chorus of We Are The World and Heal The World, before making their own tributes to him.
His 11-year-old daughter Paris broke down in tears as she described her dad as "the best father you could ever imagine".
It's the first time Paris and her brothers, Prince Michael I and Prince Michael II, have made a public appearance as their dad was keen to keep them out of the public eye.
