Statue of Liberty's crown reopens

Statue of Liberty

Tourists can go right to the top of the Statue of Liberty, as the crown has opened to the public once more.

The statue was closed after the 2001 terrorist attacks on America. The lower part of it re-opened in 2004, but the crown stayed shut.

Once it reopens, just 240 tourists will be allowed up each day - in groups of no more than 10 at a time.

The Statue of Liberty was given to America by France in 1886 to celebrate America's 100th birthday.
