Robin Hood drama axed by BBC

It might not come as a surprise after the main character died in the season finale, but Robin Hood has been axed by the BBC.

Fewer than two million people watched the final episode of the third series last week, down from the four to five million who watched earlier episodes.

The BBC said: "Viewers have enjoyed three fantastic series of Robin Hood.

"But with the death of Robin in last week's finale, we feel that the show has reached its natural conclusion."
