Press Packer Sam, 12, is going to star in a CBBC programme called Clash where musicians turn classical songs into modern music.
This is his story:
"I was browsing the CBBC website when I saw an advert to take part in a programme called Clash.
You needed to play an instrument and I play the drums so I applied.
Two weeks later I heard back that I had an audition for the programme. I had to go to Manchester and play a two-minute piece and talk in front of the TV cameras.
Auditions and cameras
I was really nervous, especially when I found out there was a surprise challenge.
I wasn't that nervous about being in front of the cameras though because I'm used to performing with my band and sometimes there are cameras at the gigs.
I've been playing drums since I was four years old and I play in a band with my brother. Our band is called The Journey and we play gigs.

I love playing the drums and practice for between half-an-hour and an hour every day.
The idea of the show was for children with lots of different musical influences to turn a classical piece of music into a modern piece.
Meeting the contestants
When I met the other children in my team it felt like we had known each other for about nine or 10 years already, not like we'd just met each other.
We all got on really well and there weren't any arguments. I made some really good friends and we'll definitely keep in touch. I also learned lots.
We were all into different music. Some of us liked indie, or Scottish music, or rock. There were five in our team. We weren't nervous when we were practicing our music, but we were when we were performing.
I was a bit doubtful when I heard that it was a classical music challenge because that's not the kind of music I listen to.
I like rock music. My favourite bands are Jimmi Hendrix, AD/DC and Green Day.
Classical learning
I wasn't really that interested in classical music, but I learned a lot about it during the making of the programme.
I learned that classical music is all over the place but you don't really notice it. It's in films and adverts and everywhere.
I think kids my age should be more interested in it because when you pay attention to it you can hear all the different instruments and find out about it more in depth.
I wouldn't listen to classical music myself, but if I heard some on the telly now I wouldn't turn it off whereas I would have done before doing the show.
Celebrity support
When my friends heard about the show and the classical side to it they weren't that impressed either, but then they heard about all the celebrities that we got to meet whilst we made the show - like Pixie Lott, the Noisettes, Tinchy Strider and The Saturdays.
I will definitely keep on playing the drums and I'm glad that I learned so much about music. Maybe one day I will get to play Glastonbury like some of the celebrities I met. "

Clash starts on Tuesday 7 July on CBBC on BBC 1
