A pair of migrating humpback whales gave commuters in Australia a shock when they took a wrong turn and ended up in Sydney harbour.
The huge creatures swam within 100 metres of the local ferry wharf and splashed around for about 90 minutes before heading out of the harbour and back into warmer northern waters.
At this time of year, whales migrate from the Antarctic up both the east and west coasts of Australia.
The humpback and southern right whales are the two most commonly spotted, but about 40 different whale species have been recorded in Australian waters.
