Ace Murray races into last 16

Andy Murray in action

British number one Andy Murray is through to the last 16 players of the men's Wimbledon competition.

He brushed aside Viktor Troicki, beating him 6-2 6-3 6-4 in less than two hours.

Murray will now take on Switzerland's Stanislas Wawrinka in his next match on Monday.

Much of Saturday's match was played under stormy skies and it looked like Wimbledon's new retractable roof might be used for the first time.

But Murray seemed to be in a hurry to get off the court as thunder sounded in the distance, and in the end he beat the rain.

After the match he said: "Obviously I wanted to finish the match as quickly as possible.

"It would have been a nice bit of history, but I wasn't that worried by it."

Best to come

And the 22-year-old said he thought his best tennis of the tournament was still to come.

"I've got to be happy with the first week - I felt better and better with every match. But I'm going to have to play better next week if I want to come away with the title."
