UK climate change predictions

Rushing flood waters from 2007

Experts predict UK weather for 2080

Britain could face wetter winters and drier summers over the next 70 years because of climate change, say experts.

The government's released a big weather forecast for Britain in 2080, based on experts' climate change predictions.

They reckon there could be more risk of flooding in Scotland and the north west of England, but heat waves and droughts would be more common in the south.

But another recent report said the UK will be one of the countries least affected by climate change.

The experts behind the government's report say their predictions aren't certain, but they're hoping they will help people plan for the future.

Using an online "weather generator", people will be able to see what the project forecasts for where they live at different times in the future.
