Premier League fixtures announced

Premier League trophy

It might not seem long ago that the footie season finished, but the fixtures for the 2009-10 Premier League season have just been announced.

Champions Manchester United will kick off with a match against the newly promoted Birmingham when the season starts on 15 August.

Carlo Ancelotti's first game in charge of Chelsea is at home to Hull, while Liverpool open at Tottenham.

Arsenal start the season with a match against Everton at Goodison Park.

The first game between two of the top four clubs comes on 29 August, when Man Utd take on Arsenal at Old Trafford.

Big spenders Man City, who'll be hoping to finish in the top four, start the season with a trip to Blackburn.
