High-tech trackers on school bus

Kids in a North Wales town are being tracked while they travel to and from school by bus.

Ruthin's Zoom system uses swipe cards and something like a car's sat nav to let parents know where the school bus is and if their kids are on board.

Bus drivers have a screen showing the face of each card's owner so kids can't use each other's card.

And schools are also getting kids to go undercover as "Bus Angels" to report any bad behaviour on board the bus.

The identity of each bus angel is kept a secret so other kids won't know they're being watched.

Bus drivers can also use their screens to identify kids who are causing trouble on the bus.

It's hoped the schemes will make everyone's journey a bit nicer.
