England beaten in Twenty20

Kevin Pietersen

South Africa have crushed England in the Twenty20 World Cup Super Eights.

England got into the final eight with a decent performance against Pakistan, but in this game only managed to reach 111 all out.

In contrast, South Africa reached the total they needed with seven wickets and 10 balls to spare.

Jacques Kallis' 57 not out was South Africa's highest score, but only three of England's team reached double figures in an embarrassing display.

England's players were booed as they left the pitch.

They now have to beat India on Sunday, and West Indies the following day, but even that wouldn't necessarily be enough to put England into the semi-finals.

Big win for England women

The news was much better for England's women, who cruised to a 10-wicket win against India in the Women's Twenty20 World Cup.

They kept India to 112-8 from their 20 overs and then raced to 113 without losing a wicket themselves.

The women's tournament is taking place at the same time as the men's event, and as the women's team are world champions, they have a great chance of winning it.
