Press Packer Karli recorded a single to raise money for the British troops.
This is how is happened:
"One day last June my dad had a visit from the head of a record company. He heard me singing and thought that I sounded really good.
He asked me if I would like to go for a recording test which I did and the same day I recorded my first single The Locomotion and Paper Roses.
Practice makes perfect
I practice my singing every day doing the best that I can to make sure that I get things correct.
I started singing when I was five years old although I have only been singing professionally for just over a year now and have enjoyed every minute of it being in the recording studio.
It is also a lot of hard work especially if it takes three or four takes to get the song I am recording absolutely perfect.
I can be in the recording studio for between six and seven hours sometimes but it is always well worth it to be able to hear the end result.
Soldier single
I decided to record my new single Soldier Boy as I wanted to pay tribute to all our troops.
The single was fun to do, but also at the same time took a lot of concentration as it was done for a very worthy cause and I wanted things to be spot on.
In total the recording of Soldier Boy took round about three hours.
My family and friends at school are very proud of me as a lot of my relatives have served in the armed forces and even today two of my cousins serve in the Mercian Regiment.
Media success
I've been asked to go on the radio, and also my local paper did a photoshoot and interview with me.
I hope it will show our troops that we do appreciate what they are doing, risking their lives everyday to make the world a better place."
