Diversity win Britain's Got Talent

Dance group Diversity

Dance group Diversity has won the final of Britain's Got Talent.

The 11 members, aged between 12 and 25, screamed with surprise when their name was read out. Singer Susan Boyle had been the favourite to win.

They picked up a prize of £100,000 and will also get the chance to perform at the Royal Variety Show in December.

Susan Boyle ended up coming second and saxophone player Julian Smith was third. Almost 20m people watched the final on television.

Diversity talk about their win

Diversity is made up of three sets of brothers and the group was only formed in 2007.

Ashley Banjo, who is one of the dancers, said that winning the contest had "changed our lives".

The other acts which took part included singers Shawn Smith, the grandfather and granddaughter team 2 Grand and 10-year-old Hollie Steel.
