Huge weekend for UK footie fans

Inverness CT fans talk to Newsround

A huge weekend for football fans is about to kick off, with the English and Scottish seasons both finishing.

Manchester United have already been crowned Premier League champs, now the race is on to find out whether Rangers or Celtic will take the Scottish title.

That will be decided on Sunday, while Saturday will see Inverness, St Mirren and Falkirk battling to avoid the drop.

The bottom two - Falkirk and Inverness - are playing each other and Inverness only need to get one point to stay up.

Meanwhile, back at the top of the table, Celtic's recent 0-0 draw away to Hibernian means if Rangers can win their clash against Dundee United they'll become the SPL champions.

Bottom of the SPL table
10 - St Mirren - 37 points
11 - Inverness - 37 pts
12 - Falkirk - 35 pts

Even if the Gers don't win, they'll still lift the trophy as long as they get a better result than their rivals.

Premier League relegation scrap

This weekend fans will also find out which two teams from Middlesbrough, Newcastle United, Hull City and Sunderland will be relegated from England's Premier League along with West Brom.

English play-off finals
Saturday - League Two - Gillingham v Shrewsbury
Sunday - League One - Millwall v Scunthorpe
Monday - Championship - Burnley v Sheffield United

It's not just the top leagues that will have supporters crossing their fingers though.

The play-off finals also take place at Wembley, finishing on Monday when Burnley and Sheffield United battle for a place in the top division next season.
