Black Eyed Peas boom to top spot

Black Eyed Peas have ended Tinchy Stryder's hold on the top spot, going straight in at number one.

Their latest track Boom Boom Pow took Black Eyed Peas to the top for the first time since their massive hit Where Is The Love? in 2003.

Eminem continues his comeback, with You Made Me climbing from number seven to four and a second track Beautiful has broken into the top 40 at 38.

American rockers Green Day went straight to the top of the album chart.

Their follow up to American Idiot has been a long time coming, but fans have bought loads of copies of 21st Century Breakdown.

Lily Allen and Lady GaGa swapped places in the chart, with Lily's It's Not Me It's You now at two and The Fame at three.
