Birds usually have to be pretty careful around cats, but this budgie was no bird-brain when it wanted this kitten to play.
The budgie decided to leave his cage and hop on down to try to wake the kitten up. But pecking him on the head doesn't seem to be working...
Hopping on top of the napping furball seems to have done the trick, but will the kitten play or just go back to sleep?
It doesn't look like he's got much choice... the budgie doesn't give up easily and keeps hopping around until he's got the kitten's full attention.
"Do you mind? I was trying to sleep!" There's only so much a kitten can take and, after being repeatedly pecked on the stomach, the kitten swipes back.
As the kitten made chase, the brainy budgie led it straight into his cage.
How did this happen? The budgie has the last laugh as he stays free to fly around their home while the kitten's caught up in the cage.
