Madonna adoption back in court

Madonna in Malawi

Madonna's lawyers are in Malawi in Africa to try to change a court decision that stopped the singer from adopting a child from the country.

Last month, Madonna was told she needed to live in Malawi for at least 18 months before she could adopt a 4-year-old girl called Mercy.

In 2006 Madonna adopted a little boy from Malawi called David Banda. But at the time those rules weren't applied.

The court is expected to announce its decision in a few days' time.

Madonna has being criticised by some charities who say it's not always the best thing for kids to go and live abroad.
