All About You: What job do you want to do?

Jobs kids want to do

Newsround has asked 1,000 children aged six to 12 across the UK what their lives are like.

Lots of you told us you'd like to be either a popstar, firefighter or doctor when you grow up.

For the boys, the top job by far was to be a footballer. One in five said they wanted to be the next Wayne Rooney. In second place was being a police officer.

For the girls the best job was being a teacher, just under one in seven of you want to be one, with hairdresser and beautician coming a close second.

So what do you want to be when you grow up?

Whatever you think, we want to know!
