NR survey: Kids feeling the pinch

The credit crunch has been big news around the world in the past year, and it's no different for you.

More than six out of 10 children have been affected by global money problems, according to a massive Newsround survey that's all about you.

We asked a thousand kids in the UK about their lives and you told us the good and bad things that are going on.

The big news is that most of you are happy, but you admitted being worried about money, bullying and knife crime.

Money is not the only thing that concerns you, as more than one in 10 children are worried about being shot or stabbed.

You say that the most frightening place to be is in the dark, although more of you don't feel safe on the street than the last time we asked you in 2007.

Happily for the website, almost all children older than nine have access to the internet from home, and by 10 they feel they know more about going online than their mums.

And by secondary school you told us that you know more about the internet than your dads!
