Chelsea shock win over Liverpool

Liverpool v Chelsea

Chelsea left Anfield stunned last night after a terrific comeback against Liverpool in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final.

Fernando Torres gave Liverpool the lead after six minutes. But defender Branislav Ivanovic scored twice to equalise and then put Chelsea in front.

Didier Drogba completed the 3-1 scoring for the Blues in the 67th minute.

The only downside to Chelsea's night was a booking for John Terry, as he will be suspended for the next match.

Terry will not be allowed to play in the return leg at Stamford Bridge after being cautioned for a challenge on Red' goalkeeper Pepe Reina.

Liverpool are experts at making comebacks, but it's hard to see how their manager Rafael Benitez can get them out of this defeat by Chelsea.

If Chelsea go through, they are likely to face Barcelona, who have one foot in the semi-finals following a 4-0 first leg win over Bayern Munich.
