Tom Daley ends diving partnership

It looks like British diving star Tom Daley won't be diving with Blake Aldridge again after the teenager's dad said he wasn't a good influence on him.

Rob Daley wasn't happy when Blake quit the British Championships, where he was meant to partner Tom last month, after being punched in a nightclub.

Now he's told a newspaper: "Tom will never dive with Blake again."

It's thought 14-year-old Tom is already training with other divers to try to find a new diving partner.

It's not the first sign of trouble for Tom and Blake's diving partnership.

The pair hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons when it was reported that they fell out after coming last in the 10 metre synchronised diving finals at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Tom is said to have got cross with Blake for phoning his mum during the competition and not concentrating on their next dive, while Blake blamed Tom for their disappointing performance.

Newsround spoke to Tom's dad who told us that as well as looking for a new diving partner, Tom's getting ready to compete at the World Series circuit in Doha in the Middle East on Saturday.
