Manchester United and Arsenal have made it through to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

Nemanja Vidic put United ahead just four minutes into their match against Inter Milan at Old Trafford.

Cristiano Ronaldo doubled their lead after the break, securing their 2-0 win. Elsewhere, Arsenal needed sudden death penalties to knock out Roma.

The match ended with the two clubs tied 1-1 on aggregate, so it went to a penalty shootout.

The Gunners won 7-6 after Max Tonetto, Roma's eighth man to step up to the spot, sent his penalty high.

They join Chelsea, Liverpool and Man United as the other English clubs in the quarter-final stages.

The other teams through to the final eight are Barcelona, Porto, Villarreal and Bayern Munich.
