Dental nurse Jade Goody shot to fame in 2002 as a contestant on Big Brother 3. She came fourth and was an instant celebrity.
Not all Big Brother contestants manage to stay celebrities for long, but Jade managed to keep herself in the spotlight.
She appeared regularly in newspapers and magazines, she released keep-fit DVDs, opened up her own beauty salon, released an autobiography and launched her own perfume.
She was on TV loads: Celebrity Driving School, Celebrity Weakest Link and Celebrity Stars in their Eyes. She also had her own TV shows, like What Jade Did Next and Jade's Salon.
In 2007, she made headlines for the wrong reasons when she was accused of racism towards Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty in Celebrity Big Brother.
To try and make up for her behaviour, Jade appeared on the Indian version of the show. It was at this point she was told she had cancer.
Having cancer didn't stop Jade from being in the public eye, and she continued to give interviews talking about her battle with the disease.
TV channel Living even filmed a three-part series, which followed the star and showed her living with the illness.
Jade said she wanted to use the money raised from all her interviews to make sure her sons Bobby-Jack and Freddie were well looked after she died.
On 22 February 2009 Jade married her fiancÚ Jack Tweed in an emotional ceremony in Essex.
After a very public life and battle with cancer, Jade died on Mothers Day on Sunday 22 March 2009, at home with her mum Jackiey and husband Jack Tweed by her side.
