Dundee shatter SPL losing streak

Dundee United have scored their first win in five Scottish Premier League games by beating Falkirk 1-0.

A handball by Tam Scobbie gave the visitors a penalty, which Craig Conway wasted no time in converting to give Dundee the victory.

The results puts them just two points behind third-placed Hearts, while Falkirk are left two points off the bottom of the table.

Elsewhere, St Mirren and Aberdeen drew 1-1 at St Mirren Park.

Craig Dargo had fired home after 80 minutes to put the home side ahead, but Tommy Wright made sure the visitors went away with a point by heading in a goal in stoppage time.
