In Pictures: Oasis get record NME nominations

Noel and Liam Gallagher from Oasis

The nominations for the NME awards are out and Oasis are in with a chance of winning a whopping seven awards, including best and worst band, best live act and best album.

Noel Gallagher

Noel Gallagher, who's also up for the best dressed award, seemed to think they deserved more, saying: "Seven nominations you say? Is that all?"

President Barack Obama

American President Barack Obama seems an unlikely choice for the music magazine's awards, but he's up against Noel Gallagher as Hero of the Year.

Kings of Leon

And Kings of Leon are following their recent Brits success by making it onto the shortlist for four awards - best live band, best international band, best track AND best album.

The Jonas Brothers and Britney Spears

Music fans get to pick the nominees and winners for the awards, but we can't help thinking Britney and the Jonas Brothers would rather NOT win the prize for worst album.

Amy Winehouse, Killers frontman Brandon Flowers, Katy Perry

And do you think Amy Winehouse, Killers frontman Brandon Flowers or Katy Perry will be pleased if they're named worst dressed? Probably not!
