Emily's sister had anorexia

It seems that more girls than ever before are ending up in hospital because they're starving themselves.

People with anorexia avoid eating and can lose a lot of weight, which can make them really ill.

The latest figures for England show the number of 12-year-olds taken into hospital with the medical condition has tripled in the last 10 years.

It can make life hard for the people around them too, so Sonali went to meet a girl whose sister had anorexia.

It's thought more than a million people in the UK have an eating disorder like anorexia.

It looks like the problem is getting worse among girls, with the number of under 12s taken into hospital with anorexia increasing.

Charities want it to be easier for girls and boys with anorexia - and their friends and family - to get the help and support they need to start getting better before they end up in a hospital bed.
