A blaze broke out in a busy part of the seaside town of Blackpool in north-west England in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The fire broke out in an area full of bars and restaurants. Seven people had to be moved from nearby buildings, but there are no reports of anyone being seriously hurt.
At one point around 100 firefighters were at the scene tackling the flames.
Witnesses said the streets were full of smoke, and ash was falling from the sky.
This weekend is the first of the season for Blackpool Pleasure Beach, and tens of thousands of people had flocked to the town for a circus and performance festival.
But a spokeswoman for Blackpool Council said the fire was only affecting a small part of the town, and people could still enjoy the festival and pleasure beach.
