It looks like David Beckham will be returning to America to play for Los Angeles Galaxy, after AC Milan failed to agree a deal to keep him.
Beckham has been playing for the Italian side on short-term loan, and said he'd like to stay on at the club.
But Galaxy's head coach said Milan had not improved an offer for him that was rejected last week.
And as the transfer deadline has now passed, the whole Beckham family look set to return to California.
Galaxy head coach Bruce Arena said: "David remains an LA Galaxy player and we look forward to having him back with the club starting March 9," he said.
Manchester United - 1991-2003
Preston North End (loan) - 1995
Real Madrid - 2003-2007
LA Galaxy - 2007 onwards
AC Milan (loan) - 2008?
But Friday's deadline was put in place by people in charge of football in America, and some people think that a transfer could still happen.
A spokesperson for Beckham said the 33-year-old would discuss the situation with his advisors next week.
Simon Oliveira said: "David is focused on the Milan derby this Sunday.
"We will be addressing this early next week."
