Brits have great night at Grammys

Coldplay and Jay-Z

British bands and singers had a brilliant night at the Grammys, bagging loads of the biggest prizes.

Coldplay won three awards, Adele will be bringing two home, Duffy and Estelle picked up one each and rock legend Robert Plant won five of them.

There were some amazing shows too from bands like Radiohead while Coldplay performed with rapper Jay-Z.

At the Grammys, Coldplay won one of the top prizes, song of the year, for their tune Viva la Vida.

Duffy - one

Adele caused a bit of a surprise when she beat The Jonas Brothers to the best new artist award. She also won for best female pop vocal.

After winning Adele said: I want to thank my manager, my mum, she's in London. And Duffy, I love you. I think you're amazing."

She added: "Jonas Brothers, I love you as well."
