A 14-year-old boy in America has broken the world record for Guitar Hero III after scoring almost a million points on a single song.

Danny Johnson rocked his way through the track gamers reckon is the toughest of them all, Through The Fire and Flames by DragonForce, on expert level.

Only a broken controller stopped him hitting all 3,722 notes. He missed one when the blue button stopped working.

That left Danny with 973,954 points, smashing the previous best score.

Danny, who plays loads of real instruments as well, reckons he's gone through around 80 of the guitar-shaped controllers in the last year.
