Croc warning in Australia floods
Torrential rains have been causing chaos in northern Australia, leaving towns under water and attracting crocodiles into the flooded streets.
Officials reckon the crocs are being swept into towns as rivers across the state of Queensland burst their banks.
About two-thirds of the state has been declared a disaster zone and hundreds of people have been forced to leave their waterlogged homes.
But in some areas, large crocs are getting in the way of rescue efforts.
There have been at least three sightings of one large croc near the town of Normanton, which is said to have been following dogs and people in the main streets.
And another croc that was nearly two metres long was hit by a car in the nearby city of Townsville, when the driver didn't see it hiding in the water!
Wildlife rangers said the animal suffered bruising and lost a few teeth in the accident but was recovering well.
Meanwhile, experts are warning people to be extra careful in case they come across a croc in one the flooded towns, many of which are expected to be isolated by the floodwaters for weeks.
