Andy Murray has crashed out of the Australian Open tournament after losing in five sets to Fernando Verdasco.
The British number one played well in patches, but wasn't consistent enough and didn't deserve to win.
Verdasco did play very well, and his big left-handed serve caused Murray problems, especially in the final set.
The Spanish star, ranked number 15 in the world, finally took the match by a score of 2-6 6-1 1-6 6-3 6-4, after twice coming back from a set behind.
Murray has been in excellent form so far in 2009, and until Monday had beaten Verdasco every time he had faced him.
