Ricky meets Brit Awards stars

The nominations for this year's Brit Awards were announced at a glitzy party in London on Tuesday night.

Coldplay and Welsh singer Duffy led the way with four nominations each, and will go head-to-head in the best British album and single categories.

It was also a good night for the singer Adele, who found out she has been nominated for three awards.

Meanwhile, the Ting Tings, Girls Aloud and Estelle were among the acts to scoop two nominations.

Coldplay are also up for best British live act and best British group.

She is also up for best British single for Chasing Pavements.

The winners will be announced at the awards show on 18 February, which will be co-presented by Kylie Minogue.
