In pics: Concert to welcome Obama

Barack Obama arrived in Washington for a huge welcome concert before he officially becomes America's 44th president.

Hundreds of thousands of people turned out to watch the show, but it would have been pretty hard to see who was on stage from this far back.

Beyonce was one of the big name stars who performed at the concert, which was called We Are One: The Obama Inaugural Celebration At The Lincoln Memorial.

Barack Obama's daughters got some of the best seats in the house, but it doesn't look like Sasha's that impressed with U2's performance.

Maybe Usher and Shakira teaming up with Stevie Wonder did a better job at keeping everyone entertained.

Security for the event was really tight, with thousands of police officers and guards keeping an eye out for any trouble-makers.

During his speech, Obama said "anything is possible in America", but he warned it would take time to solve some of the toughest challenges the country is currently facing.

Obama will officially become America's 44th president on Tuesday, with Joe Biden as his vice-president.

The crowds at the concert were huge, but nothing compared to the TWO MILLION people who are expected to turn up in Washington for Obama's inauguration.
